Introducing Olaplex No.4 and No.5

olaplex no.4 and no.5

If you thought that your Olaplex hair care routine couldn’t get any better, you were wrong. Olaplex launched their new Bond Maintenance shampoo and conditioner, Olaplex No.4 and No.5, in June to take your hair health and strength to the next level. The company spent two years coming up with the formula which they say they couldn’t wait for people to experience.

What are No.4 and No.5 all about?

They’re both formulated with patented OLAPLEX Bond Building Chemistry to restore, repair, and hydrate the hair without weighing it down like a lot of other treatments. They reduce hair damage and frizz and the result is strong, healthy, shiny hair. The best thing of all is that Olaplex is suitable for everyone, no mattered if they’ve coloured their hair, or what hair type they have.

They might save you some time

Because there’s Olaplex in the shampoo, you’ll still get the hair strengthening benefits even if you don’t have time to treat it with No.3. If you only use No.3 once per week, you’re getting the benefits all of the time, just by washing your hair. How amazing is that??

Olaplex is a hero ingredient

Olaplex No.4 and No.5 are non-toxic, and free from sulphates, parabens, and silicone. They’re also suitable for vegans and are gluten-free and nut-free, just like all of the other products in the Olaplex range. No Olaplex products are tested on animals.

How to use Olaplex No.4 and No.5

The shampoo and the conditioner repair, strengthen and hydrate the hair, so they’re perfect to add to your No.3 routine. You can use the shampoo and conditioner without using No.3, as I mentioned, but for best results, use them together. Dampen the hair, then apply Olaplex No.3 as usual (you can find my guide on to use it here), then use the shampoo and conditioner as normal, working it from the scalp through to the ends.

Olaplex has made a difference to so many of my clients, why not ask me about it next time you’re in the salon?
