Use Olaplex, Say No to Products That Are Tested on Animals

tested on animals

Do you love animals? And do you ever think about what’s in your makeup, skincare products or hair products? Many brands use ingredients that are not natural, that are harmful for you and tested on animals.

Even though testing cosmetics and other products on animals is banned in the UK, many international brands still test their products on animals.

In China, it’s mandatory for a product to be tested on animals before it’s sold to the general public, so many brands will claim they are cruelty-free, but they’ll sell their products in countries where animal testing is lawful. They put profits about everything, including animal welfare, and this is just plain wrong. Animals are not here to be experimented on, they feel pain and they can feel afraid, just like us, and they don’t deserve to live their lives locked up in a cramped cage in a laboratory.

The horrors of animal testing

Over 100 million animals are killed in laboratories in the United States every year as a result of drug, food and cosmetic testing. And Europe doesn’t fare much better. Around 11.5 million animals are tested on every year and suffer skin and eye irritation, and sometimes much worse. We should boycott brands who subject animals to this shocking cruelty, because there is always an alternative way to research, develop, and test products without causing unnecessary suffering.

Olaplex is cruelty-free

We are proud to say that we use Olaplex at Salon La Reine, which is a completely cruelty-free and vegan product. Olaplex is ethically produced in California and is never tested on animals. Since the brand began creating their products, they have followed the principles of health and integrity meaning that their products don’t harm you, animals, or the environment.

Olaplex say that they have never and will never test on animals and subject them to tortuous conditions and suffering. They don’t hire other companies to test on their behalf and they don’t sell any of their products in China.

Olaplex is safe

They use safe ingredients in all of their products so that the end result is a high-quality, non-toxic haircare product that does its job without causing harm.

Olaplex formulas are free from Parabens, Phthalates, Colorants, 1,4 Dioxanes, Formaldehyde, Methylisothiazolinone, Toluene, Triclosan, SLS, SLES or ALS. They also don’t contain silicone, sulphates, peroxide, gluten, soy, or dairy.
