Aveda Clean Water Campaign
Aveda is partnering with charity: water to bring clean, safe drinking water to people in need in India, Nepal, Madagascar and Ethiopia. Charity: water is a non-profit organisation which has funded over 29,000 projects around the world since 2006. Their work is so important because 663 million people in the world don’t have access to clean water. Can you even imagine that?? Can you imagine having to walk for hours every day just to get some water for your family, and then the water you do get isn’t even clean? It carries diseases that make people sick.
Clean water means:
- Around 16,000 lives could be saved every week.
- People (especially women) have more time to grow food and earn an income, and kids have more time to go to school because they aren’t spending it collecting water.
